Coding is the new universal language and by mastering it, anyone can build incredible games, websites, apps or animations. The Coding Circle offers a variety of courses for different age groups, for kids between 7 and 16 years old.
With the help from instructors who have years of experience as developers, students learn programming best practices currently used in the industry worldwide. Courses are designed around an objective and children’s age in order to build different specific abilities:
- YOUNG PROGRAMMERS – INTRODUCTION TO SCRATCH (7-9 y.o.)
In this course, young students enter the world of computer science by learning how to create interactive projects such as animations, stories, and games. The core platform used for this class is Scratch, a visual programming language developed at MIT. As students teach a mischievous cat and multiple other characters of their choice to dance, explore a maze, or play games, they learn how to use math, algorithms and code to think creatively and logically. Scratch makes it easy for kids to have fun while developing essential problem-solving skills.
By the end of this course, students will be able to create animations, stories and games using the Scratch programming interface. Learn the basic structure of Scratch programs and the characteristics of computer programming. This course will also teach kids to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively.

- YOUNG PROGRAMMERS – INTRODUCTION TO CODE COMBAT (9-11 y.o.)
CodeCombat is a web platform where children and teenagers can learn how to code by entering a game environment where they get to control multiple heroes, solve missions and achieve goals for by writing lines of code for all the actions within the game. During the course, the children will be available to cover the first 85 levels of the game (out of the 180+ levels) while learning the basic principles of programming – from conditional thinking with if-else clauses to defining parameters and up to setting up variables for game elements and mechanisms.
More than that, they will have a deep insight into game design which can then be complemented by a game development course.

- INTRODUCTION TO WEB DEVELOPMENT (10-16 y.o.)
An intensive programming course dedicated to kids aged 10 -16. Students learn to plan a user interface (UI) and user experience (UX). This is critical to building a successful web or mobile application. The course will also introduce the basics of proper product management and scaling as well as current trends in design and best practices in HTML5, CSS3.
By the completion of the course students will be able to design and build a dynamic website which they deploy on a hosted server online.
