Cricket in the UAE is set to get a major boost at grassroots

Dubai, UAE – August 14, 2017 – GenNext Kings’ Cricket Academy and Kings’ Schools have partnered to provide an unparalleled coaching program designed by Ravichandran Ashwin from his cricketing experiences at the most elite level against the world’s best.

Ravichandran Ashwin is the brand ambassador and chief mentor for the GenNext Kings’ Cricket Academy and will be personally involved in imparting his expertise to budding cricketers several times a year at Kings’ Schools. Ashwin stated “I am extremely delighted with the launch of GenNext Kings’ Academy in Dubai. This partnership is definitely going to contribute to continuous improvement in coaching techniques with a flavour of innovation and drive to excel. GenNext Kings’ Cricket Academy will provide players of all ages and skill levels an opportunity to experience world class coaching in a state of the art environment. State of the art infrastructure and technology

The facilities available to students is bracketed a luxury by many but the GenNext Kings’ Academy team considers it a necessity for the development of the players. These include 4 Indoor Cricket Nets, 6 outdoor astro-turf nets, video analysis technology with high speed cameras, professional bowling machine, audio/visual lecture room, fully equipped gymnasium and changing rooms, along with a clinic staffed by qualified medical professionals. Phase 2 will feature a full size turf pitch cricket oval and multiple turf pitch cricket nets with floodlights.

Highest level of qualified coaches

Level 3 South African Coach Kobus Olivier was appointed by Ashwin to head up the Academy. Olivier has a rich cricketing background where he has played professional cricket for 16 years in England and has been a coach at top levels for over 20 years which includes National Youth Team Coach for Holland, CEO of Cricket Kenya and Director of Cricket at Cape Town University which has produced players of the quality like Graeme Smith, Gary Kirsten, Eric Symonds, Ryan Tendochate and Brian Murphy amongst others.  He will be joined by a number of top name coaches who have now been appointed.
